“An Inconvenient Sequel” shows the twilight of one of our most coherent champions. Rated PG An updated coda sees Gore abandoning his conciliatory rhetoric to swing for an individual currently undoing much of the hard diplomatic work observed herein.

Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk’s galvanising documentary accompanies the former US vice-president throughout 2015 and 2016, by which point he had pivoted from touring pro-bono slideshows to addressing the Climate Reality Leadership Corps programme initiated by the first movie’s success. An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power = Liberal global climate change propaganda and Al Gore is a Hypocrite, just my opinion. The glaciers have not stopped melting, every day brings worse news, but Gore has never given into despair. Despair is all we've got some days, and try though it might, this film can't curb it.

Let's hope Gore doesn't have to do another sequel. Shows that here's also a reluctance on the part of different organizations to acknowledge the problem. The final minutes of the movie show Gore, ashen-faced, as he tries to rally his courage and strength after the 45th President is elected.

This documentary, with its slick graphics and quick re-editing, is a must-see because the issue of climate change goes beyond party lines and is again, like An Inconvenient Truth, a call for more science, not silence.
